DuPage Housing Authority does not offer public housing so if you need an affordable housing option it must come from the State of Illinois or from a private provider of subsidized housing. There is a listing of those subsidized units in many communities in the state available at IHDA.org under the rental housing link. DuPage Housing Authority only administers the Housing Choice Voucher Program and the first step is to apply for the waiting whenever it opens for new applications. The next opening is actually Tuesday March 5th at 10am Central Time. We have information right now how to make application on our website at DuPageHousing.org. Then on Tuesday March 5th starting at 10am you will be able to fill out an application to hopefully make it on the waiting list. There are only 1,500 positions available so once those slots are filled the waiting list will close. Good luck!
