I want to learn to skate, but the closest rink is your location.. Do you have plans to have any more locations further south? If you know any that are close to Sierra Vista? The other types of rinks I found were for roller skating, and not for ice.

The only rinks in the southern area of the valley are AZ ICE Gilbert and Ice Den Chandler. Those are the two choices closest to your location.

Beginner Adult Hockey skills class Thursday nights at Oceanside ice arena. They have loaner gear.

I live in the valley and am only familiar with the ice rinks here but a quick google search turned up gatewayicecenter.com in Tucson. But if you are just learning and you have no ice give inline skates a try. You use the same muscles and motions as ice skating.
