Any smart phone with a large screen. There are several apps that are helpful and as long as she has a smart phone she can download the apps. Also using the speech to text option available on smart phones can be of assistance. My son is visually impaired and has had success using both android and apple systems. Best of luck!
I'd suggest taking a look at the California Telephone Access Program's website (www.californiaphones.org), and Society For The Blind also has a store on-site (916-889-7502). We also have a program called the Senior Impact Program, and your mother may be eligible for free services (call Kathleen Shevlin at 916-889-7516 if interested).
