Yes you can get your luggage wrapped
Well don't know about Vegas airport. But when we visited USA, we had plastic wrapped our luggage from Mumbai airport and it travelled with us through Hongkong, Los Angeles and Las Vegas airports till we got it at Vegas. No problems all the way. It's better to wrap your luggage if not for security but for chains and locks of bags to remain intact. TSA would only open it if they find anything suspicious in scanning otherwise they won't bother to unwrap it. Anyway it's my perception.
Concur with Jen G, just clothing would be the way to go.
You can get your luggage wrapped, but would only pack clothes. If TSA has to open up, they will NOT re-wrap it!
