A drink minimum is news to me, although it's possible depending on special circumstances.

In general, they don't do drink minimums but it depends on the night of the week, who is performing and what was negociated in terms of compensation. Sometimes bands push for a portion of bar proceeds and that can lead to drink minimums. At Showcase, it's quite rare though, at least in my experience.
