bought my car brand new in may with 526 miles I'm now at 2786 . I was told to bring in for oil change at 3500 does that sound about right .I now 3000 is when you should but the service dept told me 3500.. kinda scared to do that .

Hi Gina Depending on severity of use oil change intervals typically can go 5000-7500 miles. The best bet would be to consult the maintenance schedule in the owners manual.

I go with 7000 its synthetic that the whole point behind it

I get full synthetic, good for 5000 miles. Maybe kia uses a synthetic blend. Either way if youre bringing it into kia's service department, it'll keep in line with the warranty.

I'd go with the 3000 miles. Couldn't hurt.
