Ancestry shows the exact ID number for a marriage licence on microfilm at the Family History Library. How do I get a copy of it? Willing to pay anyone for their services.

If you do go to the FHL and do have something you want printed there are several options. You can get a prepaid card for a couple of dollars to pay for paper printing OR you can take in your own thumb drive (or buy one there) to store your print OR you can use your phone / camera and just take a picture of it.

Depending on the certificate, an image may or may not be available from the Family History Library. Some are indexed only with no images. (ESP in places like NY). You need to be very specific about the documemt for accurate info about where to find it but def try to locate it at the FamilySearch.org Some microfilms are still only available digitally at a physical Family History Library or via microfilm only in Salt Lake City.

You can go to the catalog on FamilySearch (once you have a free account) and search the microfilm number there it will bring it right up.

Try searching at Family Search.org. You can open a FREE account there and use their search feature. It may be available there. If there is an LDS Church that has a branch library in your area they may be able to help you. You don't have to be an LDS member.
