If I request an expidite, need I to have an appointment first? can I just walk in and get it the same day? of course I will pay money for the expidite.

You would have to be one of the first few in line when they open. Even then there is no promises, depends on how busy they are that day. I arrived a hour and a half before they open, first in line. Went in at 10:00 and told me to come back at 1:30 to pick up my passport.

I would get there as early as possible. You cannot get it the same day unless you have proof you are leaving within a few days.

You also need to have a paid ticket showing you are travelling. Also you pick up passport after 130 pm

Due to COVID-19 to get an Emergency passport you must have an appointment and it must be a life or death situation. Some passport agencies are also allowing limited number of appointments for travelers that are traveling within 72 hours.
