it does have a gift shop, and although I am not 100% sure, I believe you can access the gift shop only, as they give you a badge to access the museum, but still you need to go through the entrance lobby which is where you pay the entrance
There is a gift shop. Its past the entry point where you have to have a token to get in when you purchase admission. If you ask admission, they may let you to the gift shop, but it is at the end of the exhibition not separate
