I believe you can call specific phone numbers for individual displays to receive more information, as well as walk around by yourself
I believe they do have tours, but for the most part you walk alone. The placards are excellent, and you don't particularly need a tour guide. They also have an audio tour guide you can use on your phone.
Self guided, but you can opt for a guided tour: Guided Tour: $45 per tour – tours are a maximum of 20 people per tour. Tours are on the hour and are 45 minutes.

When i went, we didn't have a tour guide and i walked on my own. The museum isn't that big actually. Its very easy to navigate on its own.
