Can dogs swim on the water?

No way. The water is down below a sea wall, dog could not get out. You see manatees there. There's a place on Hollywood beach that dogs can go

I see people kayaking with dogs but not swimming from the land. Besides the sea wall, the shallow areas are not sand: sharp rocks that will harm paws. As mentioned there are Manatees there and it would be terrible to allow your dog to come into a confrontation with those sweet sea-cows. Look elsewhere for a place to swim. Hollywood beach only allows dogs at specific days/times. Check before going.

I have been there once and I agree that this is not a place for your fur baby to take a dip.

I don't think so. It's a seawall. No way for the dog to get out.
