Great place to sit on the beach or on the rocks and watch the cruise ship depart. If you fancy getting in the water it's a great experience but the displacement of the ship drags the water out lower than your ankles then the waves rush back in

This is a great place to watch the ships come into Port Everglades. Decent fishing and some good surf breaks once in a while. This is the widest beach in Fort Lauderdale as the sand accumulates at the Jetties as it migrates south. Currents can be strong. Beaches are less crowded. Limited public parking.

It's been a long time since we've been to Ft. Lauderdale and wow has it changed. We stayed within walking distance to the Jetties and walked down the beach to show our 5 year old granddaughter the big ships coming in and she loved it. She even got a few to wave at her. It such a cool place to just sit and chill for a bit and watch everything going on. Can't wait to go back thats for.

Parking is not clearly marked; metered street parking is available on S. Ocean Dr. between Inlet Dr. (Aka SE 21 St.) and SE 20 St. You will have to then walk back to a walkway to the beach to the left of the entrance to the Point of Americas condominium. You can't park at the entrance to the walkway. You can't park here from 6pm to 6 am.

Yes the South Jetty is closed from the park entrance North Jetty is open safe passage for boats to travel through
Closed due to past Hurricane damaged not repaired yet ....safety concerns
goes deep pretty close, about 40 feet for the channel, but if your lucky not to land on a rock you might get swep by the strong current
There is a beach to the north and one to the south. But you cannot swim near where the ships sail. There are videos online you can look at that show people wading out to passing ships if you search "port everglades beach"
There's parking on the street S W of everglades house. You'll have to walk to the jetty through points of america.
There is paid meter parking about 2 streets over. You have to walk over
