Call them and tell them you want to volunteer. They will have training at some point and they will let you know. They always need volunteers for different parts of the program. Some for the medical center and also for the education side
When you are at the place you can sign up or sign up on the website. If they need someone in the area you live they will contact you for a training / meet and greet. They get a lot of folks who want to help but can only use a few at a time depeending on location.
