There is a morning and afternoon BOAT, no ferry. So you can go in morning for the 7 to 8 hours OR the later boat for about 4 hours . Excellent trip. Highly recommend. You can even camp there at times .
If you are talking about when you get there, taking the ferry and then walking around bull island, it's 6 to 7 hours. You leave the dock around 9 am and then get back to the dock about 3 or 4 pm
