It depends on where in NJ you are going. If you are going to the garden state pky north or south or the NJ turn pike to I 95 south and you are traveling south its the best way to go. If you want to travel north of the NY area then i would recomend the Whitestone or the trogs neck bridge north to I 287 to I 87 north or the palasades pky north or I 95 north If you can give the town or city i could answer your question better.
