Using the bridge to get to Richmond Virginia is a shorter way then I'm going through New York City however it is a little more expensive. Estimated cost would be about $40

Close to $30 to $40 bucks. Verrazano Bridge is $11.65 with EZpass as the other fella mentioned then you will have to pay toll on NJ turnpike which is about $8 to $10, then the Delaware bridge is about $8 I believe.
