Absolutely
Yes, as long as your urine tests positive for opiates and you have some sort of insurance to cover the cost. Or if you are as already on a program you usually have to arrange it in advance. Talk to your counselor or the medication nurse at your regular clinic and ask them how to arrange it. I've been on methadone for 25 years and I see people get "courtesy medicated" (thats the term they use) all the time. I dont think New York does, but, Florida charges a fee for courtesy medication. That's what I found out when I went to Disney World a few years back. My program wouldnt give me vacation bottles even though I showed them the plane tickets to prove it. They said it was because my urine tested positive for marajuana! What does that have to do with my opiate addiction? Thsts what I came to the program to get treatment for not so-called "marijuana addiction" thank God my current program doesn't even test for marajuana and even if they did I'm prescribed Marinol legally. Good luck!
