If you're on an adults-only trip and enjoy an alcoholic drink with your meal, it is definitely cheaper as those are now included in the plan. If you have kids between ten and twenty along, it can still be worthwhile if you use their table service credits for the adults and either pay cash for their meals or leave them the counter service credits. The plan for kids three to nine, though, is generally a poor option.
It is very convenient. Their food is good. Unlimited drinks Coffee and soda. Our family enjoyed it. We had two dinners and three snacks a day per person and it was plenty.
It completely depends on your family and what you want to eat and how often. Unfortunately, I would recommend doing food research. See where you would like to eat and what the average cost is. It is not always a better deal to get the dining plan. It is convenient, and a lot of people like to know that the food is already paid for. There is a lot that factors in to whether or not it makes sense for your family.
