How is the installation between the walls. Meaning can you hear running water, toilets flushed, people talking through the walls, and walking up the outside stair ways. Can you hear any of these things while sitting in your own apartment.

If your unit is next to the breezeway you can hear noise. If you have neighbors above you, will hear their movement. I do not hear my neighbors next to me though.

You cannot hear anything between the walls. You can hear music and/or TV only if they have surround sound. But it's very quiet at night so folks are respectful of quiet time
