I'd also recommend the moonlight area, nice place to start and you can travel over to mountain village as a destination.

If you ski the Moonlight side you can virtually ski to your car door. And, skiing between Moonlight and Big Sky is an easy Blue run.

There are parking lots near The Huntley Lodge. You will see signs directing you. You can take a little shuttle or walk across The Huntley lot and be at The Explorer lift

There are parking lots there and it is all free.

There's also a free shuttle from parking to the base which runs very regularly - seems like every five minutes - or you can walk about 10 or fifteen minutes along an easy skier's footpath.

There is free parking, and signs directing you to where you can park. Also, don't be a stranger! Most will point you in the right direction if you need help!
