Just passed by train and could see they have more than 10 feet of snow!!!!!

We went there days back and there is so much of snow

But the ski lifts are still closed. Open to planet kids and tubing

Public but you need to pre-order tickets online and scan a barcode from your phone to get your pass, that can be a long line to get through the kiosk.

They provide the equipment. For tubing no lift ticket needed. You go up with a ( free) "magic carpet".

Not an actual restaurant they have a place inside for snacks and small meals.

I don't think you can rent a jacket or gloves on site, but there are shops very close by, less than 10 minutes drive, around.

Lol, not 1 resort in Tahoe will fully refund you, but if the situation was out of your control (weather, traffic, power outage) 99% of resorts will give u a "rain check".

There are no snowmobiles for general public use here as far as I know.

Yes you need tickets to enter the park. Once you pay for tour tickets you can to everything at the park. I didn't do anything but I still needed a ticket.

They do not rent clothes but they have them for sale in the retail shop!

There is a small kitchen serving reasonably priced burgers, pizza and the like also there was a detached Cafe away from the lodge. That wasn't always open.

I like them better at Soda Springs. Less crowded, slightly longer, good progression from beginner to intermediate to easy advanced. Great place to learn.

Was the mountain closed? If the mountain closes then you might if the mountain was open then no.

We stayed at resort along Donner lake and liked our stay . Soda springs resort is just minutes away

No I would not. Sun goes down at 5pm so no lights would not be safe. The park is fenced and lifts would not be operational as well as no facilites or safety personel after 4pm. I would go to Cisco Grove or Nyack to just play at 4pm or after as long as there are lights.

Don't go during a holiday and you should be fine. I was there yesterday (12/30) and it was an hour and a half wait to get tickets.

There is indoor restaurant as part of the building where you purchase the tickets. I think that might be a option. Of course it might get crowed based on the day/time you go.

They don't do half day. But it's relatively cheap especially if you reserve the day beforehand online, it's 10$ cheaper

There is snow at soda spring ski and in places around it. If you just want to play in the snow, there is an area behind Soda Spring ski where they have roads closed to sled. Its off Cascade Road

There is an area called Planet Kids that is great for kids ages 2-9. It includes a small slope for tubing, beginner's snowboarding play area, and beginner's skiing play area.

They are basically closed for lack of snow. Try calling Boreal for info on Soda Springs
