on 3/20/21 approx 10:50 i witnessed driver in car #s-194 for medacare transportation write something on his travel log. i stepped out of my car to approached diavita dialysis center door, the driver pulled off. i knew he was leaving someone. i yelled for him to stop. i asked who are you finna leave. do your rider even know you are out here? the nurse was trying to give aide to the rider who.was leaking blood from their dialysis stunt. i have learned that the drivers dont have to get out of their cars/van to let rider know they are waiting. this leaves room for drivers to lie about even showing up to pick up the client. this give the transportation company to ability to charge the insurance company for round trips but really provided service for one way. if this has happened to you, call your insurance company. this is clearly insurance fraud.
Thank you for letting us know of your concern. Transportation companies only get paid for consumers they transport. If a consumer is not ready to go at the time a drivers comes, we contact the facility and dispatch another driver, once the client is ready to fo.
