Call them. Admission is free to Illinois residents every Thursday from 5-8pm. Art is expensive to maintain, pls consider making a donation. Also.. there are excellent sculptures of deities, including a beautiful Ganesha, right in the main hallway.

In order to get into Fullerton Hall I think you still have to purchase admission to the art museum which is $26 for non-residential adults. Sadly even if you only wanted to see one thing you still have to purchase the full admission. That being said, I do not know the exact peice you are referring to, so I could be wrong, but the only thing I could get into before getting my ticket was the gift shop. It is still a very impressive gallery, worth what I psid to get in.

There is a combined week pass that includes many museums in Chicago. If you intent to visit more than 2 locations it is worth the price. On the homepage only the go Chicago pass is available, but I got a different ticket offered.
