Hello Brian, Yard waste, including leaf waste is banned by DEP to be deposited in landfills. Check with you municipality to see if they have a yard waste composting program or give us a call so we can let you know were private composting facilities are available.
As long ad it's in the garbage bin you are fine any extra, they won't take it. You will have to call ahead and tell them you have extra for them to pick up. Plus the extra they will charge you for it.
