I tried alltrails, with out exact location it's very hard to find what your looking for. Pinnacle has 2 places but it doesnt find it. And it no longer allows you to record the hike to add to your successes. Maybe I'm using it wrong?
Yes there are two different trails. Cobble lookout trailhead is on Gillespie Dr. Near Wilmington. It's a 2.4 mile out & back trail. I'm not sure if you know about this app that you can install on your cell phone. It's called alltrails. It has over 75,000 trails available. If you use the pro version you can download maps of the trail that you are interested in doing. Using the GPS on the phone you can see exactly where you are on the trail. it can also time you and record your progress while you're hiking. Alltrails Gives you elevation gains and a ton of other information about the trail you are doing. There are also pictures that actual hikers take while doing the trail so you also have a visual of the trail. It's an awesome app and I strongly recommend you install on your phone. The app will also give you GPS directions to the trailhead. I hope this was helpful. And if you do decide to install the app both trails are in their database.
