Don't leave food in your car or bears will break in and trash your car.

Anyone know the current Lake Aloha mosquito conditions? (08/13/19)

We backpacked Lake Aloha last month (07/13). Mosquitos weren't bad. But we backpacked Dick's Lake (about 4km away) this weekend (08/10) and the mosquitos were really bad. I recommend lots of bug spray!

Is echo lake trail along lake cleared of snow? When is the boat taxi working?

It is snow free when we hiked it a couple days ago. Mostly dry, only small areas of wet/mud. We didn't use it, but I believe I saw the boat taxi running. Bring big spray, the mosquitoes were pretty heavy down by far end taxi launch.

Terrain is rocky so depends on your dogs. I have seen others take their dogs on the hike.
