Yes yes I agree with Noel. Pelham Bay park is the perfect set up for your occasion. There is a place in the where were the surface you need is there with a playground close by. I just hope on your day there will be great weather to accommodate.
When referring to Pelham bay park you mentioned the North end. As I understand that to be the Beach part of Pelham bay park also known as Orchard beach. If that's where you will like to have this Birthday, BBQ. At this time of year it's open and the parking is free untill memorial day. Best location would be sections 4-6. You would have access to the playground, bbq area and restrooms. If it's the park itself near the baseball diamonds off Bruckner Blvd and Burhe ave. They give you a decent place for your event with bathrooms near bye. Good Luck.
I believe that would be a good area definitely for bbq and also decorations. There's plenty of space for everything needed

Yes park is big. It has two play grounds for minors. Baseball track and BB for adults. And plenty of area for picnicking. There's also aparking lot.
U can have a picnic yes, lots of pits, but even more ppl doing the same. Need to be up earlier than the birds if u want a good spot, or any spot for that matter..have fun
