How long depends on what substance. For alcohol and benzo's the patient will be admitted for 7 days (which is the longest stay time for a patient). Everything else such as opiates, pills, heroin, cocaine, crack, meth, marijuana, etc you will be there for 4 days but this answer only implies for inpatient detox not for rehab, iop, etc.

Its a joke. Put u on suboxone from first day n taper down to 2 mg ...4 days total n you leave on 2mg so u will feel good. But its the suboxone. Id like to know success rate with this. Seems like real money maker to me. 4 days isnt long enough with or with out subs

@harry....all detox is for is to get you started by getting you clean as comfortable as possible so you can go to rehab or sober living or whatever anyone plans on doing.....it’s not a cure for addiction otherwise everyone would just go away for a week and automatically have their lives together

They don’t even let you NOT take suboxone here.. or at least they didn’t the last time I was there. I was in with someone who didn’t want to take it at all (and really didn’t even seem like he NEEDED it so.. all addicts know in that case you might as well NOT take it) but the nurses forced him to take it with a “you either have to start your suboxone or leave.” And they said it’s because if you’re there, on like Medicaid, I guess the insurance won’t start PAYING THEM until you start your taper. ALTHOUGH.. I’ve been to this place about 5 times now (unfortunately) 3 of them were back when it was still Bergen Regional - and THATS when I experienced that and that guy. When it switched to New Bridge A LOT of things changed.. like you no longer have to get there at 7am SHARP and then get kicked out at 5am on your 5th day.. they give you the option of an early time or a later time (which I believe is around like.. noon) you also don’t have to wear their scrubs anymore so.. changes

For Harry, I'm not a fan of suboxone. you're trading one evil for another. Better the detox clean and go on vivitrol shot. You can't get over it no matter what you do so why bother.
