Yes, you or a loved one may come to the Emergency Room at the Medical Center. When you register, you will let the Patient Access team know you require emergency psychiatric care. Those seeking care will first go through the medical clearance process to rule out any conditions that may be relevant to assessing the needs for care. Once cleared medically, the individual will be seen by a psychiatrist to determine the best course of action, including admission to an inpatient unit. If you are experiencing behavioral health problems, but not are not in need of emergency care, we advise you to call our Access Center at 800-730-2762. An intake specialist will work with the individual to find the most appropriate treatment options and schedule the individual for a program. If possible, please have any current medical information available. These steps will help facilitate determining which programs and treatment options will best meet the individual's needs.
