Gross, horrible, low care environment, easy to get worse there. I lost 9 pounds in 9 days. Came out so much worse than when I was forced in. Most people there are forced to be there. Im still having nightmares about it. It’s a year later and I felt the need to go back and post this. Beware! The hospital responded to my review asking me to contact them. I have zero confidence that any improvement could ever be made.I did not find one professional caring person there. Unprofessional horrors with blank stares are the staff. The social worker that was slightly engaged acted with obvious malice. It was worse than anyone can imagine. I should have sued them or exacted revenge but I was in such bad shape it’s a wonder I’m alive. I actually moved out of state to get away from NJ after my stay there. I was traumatized. Why would I call them? My life was made so much worse by my 9 day stay there. If you find yourself there DO WHATEVER YOU MUST TO GET OUT!

Great service and free!

How long depends on what substance. For alcohol and benzo's the patient will be admitted for 7 days (which is the longest stay time for a patient). Everything else such as opiates, pills, heroin, cocaine, crack, meth, marijuana, etc you will be there for 4 days but this answer only implies for inpatient detox not for rehab, iop, etc.
The phones aren't payphones. They are just two regular phones that are for the patients to use to make outgoing calls only as far as I know.
Thank you for your enquiry. Please call 201.967.4225 for assistance with Occupational Therapy.
Yes this is a great place for you to get clean and sober if that's what you want then do it girl
We thank those providing advice on medical detox & obtaining services at the Medical Center. The following information is current as of August 2019. We conduct detox evaluations for patients who wish to undergo the detox process. Each patient is unique & presents differently; therefore, specific symptomologies for patients suffering from withdrawal; as well as other factors such as medical & psychiatric co-morbidities must be taken into consideration during the evaluation. It is common to test positive for substances when seeking detox because everyone metabolizes substances differently. Our mission is to address patients comprehensively; so, there isn't a specific formula for detox services. Every case is different, so our detox providers make decisions based on the clinical presentation of each patient. We charity care as well as the vast majority of Medicaid & private insurances. Our Patient Financial team will work with you to obtain coverage. Please call 800.730.2762 for assistance
Yes, I work here and we offer detox and offer substance services. Come visit and get the help you need 🙏

Yes, you or a loved one may come to the Emergency Room at the Medical Center. When you register, you will let the Patient Access team know you require emergency psychiatric care. Those seeking care will first go through the medical clearance process to rule out any conditions that may be relevant to assessing the needs for care. Once cleared medically, the individual will be seen by a psychiatrist to determine the best course of action, including admission to an inpatient unit. If you are experiencing behavioral health problems, but not are not in need of emergency care, we advise you to call our Access Center at 800-730-2762. An intake specialist will work with the individual to find the most appropriate treatment options and schedule the individual for a program. If possible, please have any current medical information available. These steps will help facilitate determining which programs and treatment options will best meet the individual's needs.

Thank you for your inquiry. Bergen New Bridge understands the importance of the support of family and loved ones while individuals receive treatment in the Bergen New Bridge Medical Detox program. Nothing promoting drugs/liquor, gangs or abuse.(common sense) Nothing too revealing. They take your shoes and sox and give you hospital Sox. No jewelry. No hooded sweatshirts. Good: T shirts, bras, underwear, pants, tank tops(not too revealing) and pajamas to sleep in at night Think comfy detox stuff. Think like you're following school dress code and you you'll be fine. They only give sanitary napkins on the unit.

But if you feel it's an emergency just go there. If you're not covered they will take you and give you charity. Either way you won't have to pay

There is no specific timetable for discharging a patient with suicidal thoughts. Instead, our psychiatrists and clinical team work together to determine the timing and discharge planning for each patient. The expectation is the patient will be stable and ready to pursue long-term therapy to address the underlying causes of suicidal ideation before being discharged. Our psychiatrists are all competent physicians who have trained extensively in their specialty to be prepared to assist our behavioral patients.
Its not publicly owned. The county owns it and it's run by a non-profit company. Whatever money that the faculty makes goes into funding other county programs. If you like I'm sure they would be more than happy to accept a donation

It depends on the level of urgency. Anywhere from immediately to about 12 hours. If you really feel your in danger you can go to the police station and tell them what your feeling and ask them the bring you to the hospital. You'll be admitted immediately. You can go to any police department in the state.
Not anymore

Yes...if you have limited or no income you qualify for Charity Care they cover 100% reviewed annually
Yea. Now it’s New Bridge medical.
My bf detoxed from benzos recently. They did a good job. However, they took him off subs suddenly and put him on an antipsychotic that ended up causing more harm. I think its worth a try, knowing that you have the final say of what goes into your body.
Yes, they do. Its clean, not sure about clothes, shouldn't matter if you are serious about getting clean...
Google search detoxes near you and call them. Sometimes you'll have to wait a couple days or so before they'll have an open bed.
It all depends on how your luck is, if that is what you want to call it. That's what they call walk in. This is like going without a date. I'll tell you that you were going to say you're sorry and you're waiting but you can not guarantee anything. But you have to wait for them to finish the process of entering new passages and the process of leaving that day. Then they will finish if there is a bed left over because one of them who had an appointment was not ecy. Well, as I told you, they will give you the bed if the person has not arrived. Everything is a matter of money but if those who have an appointment have priority.
i would call them and ask...
No but they give you nicotine patches daily which work really well. Just take them off before you go to sleep at night or you'll have very bad or strange dreams.
Yes
I think you could park in visitors lot overnight without any problem.
