I have to appear in traffic court for not having my insurance card. I am sick. What can I do

Technically, you are allowed to mail in proof of insurance to the court and get it dismissed. However, I do not suggest doing that, because there are a lot of things that can go wrong with that scenario. The court clerks tell me that you have 33 days before the court will seek to "scoff" you. That gets you some extra time to to resolve before they seek to have your license suspended. You need an insurance letter, not the insurance card, showing you're covered. It has to be "just right" or it can be rejected by a prosecutor.

Is it the first time on or is it on for trial? If first time someone can go for you and get a new date
