Yes, you can bring 1 water bottle per person. I took a bottle last week. No food. They do check your bag when you enter the park.

No. Food and water is available inside the park. Although they don't thoroughly inspect bags for food contents. I'm sure they tolerate exceptions with valid reasons though.
