Yes wear water shoes, hot asphalt and dirty asphalt, and d ont need to constantly remove shoes all time at rides
It was very clean and the ground wasn't too hot but water shoes would have been better. You wouldn't have to worry about getting your shoes after every slide.

Absolutely should be worn on a sunny day. A couple of years ago, some in our family didn't and they burned their feet to the point they had blisters.
Yes, I would definitely recommend taking water shoes for the water park.
We were just there this past weekend. We all wore them only because the ground gets so hot, and some wait lines were long. I usually wear them just because I don't like walking around barefoot at public places. The park was waayyyy cleaner than dorney park.
