Could I bring water and sandwiches into the park?

You can bring drinks that are sealed s d in a plastic container. You can't bring a cooler but we brought snacks and PB&j sandwiches in.

Do as we did, leave your food in your car in a cooler, take a midday break and go to the car to eat! Just remember to get your hand stamped as you exit so you can return. Food in the park is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive.

Because of my food allergies and restrictions, I literally brought a 40oz water bottle and my own food and no one ever questioned me about any of it.

No food, they sale an all day refillable water bottle. You get it full of soda if you'd like.
