It took me 3hrs to see most of it. We didn't see any of the short videos or interactive activities or visit the sub that was included with the ticket.
I did a fairly thorough audio tour of Intrepid, not leisurely but not a fast pace. It took one afternoon, about three hours. The flight deck is basically an air museum, could spend an hour or two there alone. Then there is the Growler, a Concorde and a space shuttle. Second visit will be today, could see two or maybe all three of those others. Don't miss the construction records in a case on the flight deck. Intrepid's keel was laid on 12/6/41, the day BEFORE the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor. FDR was one of our best presidents.
As long (or short) as you wish. You could do it easily in about 1h if you go in fast.
3 hours approx ... but if you are only interested in space travel ......
Anywhere between 1 and 4 hours..
