You can take the permit exam from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. If you have a New York State ID, or a previous permit that is not expired for more than 2 years bring that. If you do not have a New York State ID, please bring in six points of identification proof, a proof of birth (e.g.: Birth Certificate, US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, etc.) plus two proofs of address as well. (e.g.: Utility Bill, W-2, Paystub, Residential Lease, Mortgage Statement, Bank statement, etc.)
If my permit expired this May do I have to retake?
