Call your insurance company for clarification.
Make sure you get the car you reserved. They gave me an inferior van when I was in FLA. Still fighting with them for compensation. Will never use them again.
Sorry who's insurance? Your personal insurance policy as it relates to rental cars or the one the rental car company is trying to sell you? If it is your personal policy it is language relating to how you are covered if you don't take the rental car insurance (= waive their insurance) and generally speaking means your personal policy will cover you (less your policy deductibles) But without more policy context I can't better answer your question.
Check with your own personal car insurance company. You may already have rental coverage in your policy. Also, if you reserve and pay for the rental with a credit card, the credit card company may cover you as well. As far as I can see, the rental companies coverage will cover the rental car for damage etc but does not cover other damages. (Ie..the other cars damaga..if involved/ property damage...if you hit a stationary object). Hope this helps at least a bit
Call your insurance and ask about rental coverage. That's the waiver
