According to Greyhound's website : "Children ages 12-16 get 20% off the full fare when they travel with someone 17 years of age or older. Children ages 12-16 are allowed to travel unaccompanied but with certain restrictions, including completion of the Unaccompanied Child Form. Any passenger under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a passenger at least fifteen (15) years of age or older at all times. With the exception of Illinois passengers, those between the ages of eight (8) and fourteen (14) years of age inclusive, may travel unaccompanied at full adult fare."
I've seen 16 before
I advise against sending an minor alone by bus. However you can check the rules and regulations with Greyhound.
There are safety and legal concerns when understanding that traveling to destinations as a minor may require adult authorizations.
Destination has nothing to do with it
I believe you have to be at least 17 years old.To be sure, call the Greyhound Station near you!
