Hi Scott, we usually refer customers to the Wake County Range for introduction to pistol shooting courses. You can view their class schedule using the link below: http://www.wakegov.com/sheriff/services/firingrange/Pages/schedule.aspx We do offer a concealed handgun permit class. We have them about twice a month on Saturday's and it is a one day class. As far as picking out a handgun I suggest stopping by the store and handling a few different options and let us help you figure out what best fits your needs/preferences.
