I emailed the store about a particular firearm and the response was quick and during non-business hours. The store manager answered my questions and facilitated a wonderful customer experience for me. Will do business with them again. 100% recommended!

I'm in school for gunsmith and had a project shipped to th because it required a ffl and that was mistake number 1. My project was due 2 weeks ago so my grade reflects that.Secondly if they say they will call you to let ypu know when to pick it up they won't so call everyday. Severely overstaffed and only 2 people seem to know what's going everyone else is deer in headlights. Will never step foot in there again.I encourage everyone go to fuquay gun and gold they COMMIUNICATE EFFECTVELY and they treat better.

Great place to buy guns. They are nice and very knowledgeable with almost all of their products. This is my go to place whenever I plan to purchase ammo or guns.

Also, I noticed you say “first gun”. I strongly urge you to take a basic handgun or rifle course. It may be a ‘pain’ to pay for, but it definitely pays off! Whether your intentions are to hunt, home defense, or for leisure, knowing how to properly handle and maintain your firearm is prime knowledge for any gun owner.
They don't sell assault weapons.
Not my store I'm just a customer I'm 90%positve they do
Hi Ben, we do not offer a sharpening service. We do stock Warthog Knife Sharpeners and our next order should be here in the next few weeks or so. We do have contact information for a guy who sharpens knives. If you'd like his contact info please give us a call and request it. (919) 803-4605
Good question
Yes and No, they provide basic maintenance and limited trouble shooting for firearms. Unfortunately, being a small retail location does not afford them the space needed to have to machinery needed to be a gunsmith. So to make it simple. If you want sights on your glock or a muzzle device on your ar? They can do it. If you want your glock slide milled for a red dot or a custom part made for your antique levergun? Thats beyond them. Also, call ahead. There are a lot of people who interested in those services. Calling ahead allows them to take better care of you when you bring the project. It also allows them to let you know if they can even perform the service you require. To answer the second part of your question. There are not really any gunsmith's in the area that can get your project taken care of in a timely manner.
I was a customer of Carolina Gunrunners. I think they were well stocked 3 weeks ago when I was there. Good luck on the ammo if your looking for defense ammo over 20 or 25 rounds of hollow points. As, the companies are not apparently making them in 50 count boxes any more. Sad, but practice/target FMJ or target wad-cutters your okay.
I am a reviewer. Not an employee. Best to call the store. While I was there they were taking in used guns. Good luck
Mr. Carr, We do not currently offer layaway. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks, Mike
Derek,we do not have a shooting range here at our store. Please let me know if you have any other quetsions.
It would be prudent to seek firearms safety education before purchasing a firearm. There are classes that allow you to use their firearms. Typically this is done via a nominal fee. This allows you to do two things. 1st get the safety and weapons handling knowledge you need. Two shoot a firearm helping you make a decision for purchase in the future.
They don't have a firing range
They have so of everything. If they don't have what you're looking for they can get it. It's worth a trip to the store. I probably brought 18 guns from they over the last year. Great shop with great prices
Hi Scott, we usually refer customers to the Wake County Range for introduction to pistol shooting courses. You can view their class schedule using the link below: http://www.wakegov.com/sheriff/services/firingrange/Pages/schedule.aspx We do offer a concealed handgun permit class. We have them about twice a month on Saturday's and it is a one day class. As far as picking out a handgun I suggest stopping by the store and handling a few different options and let us help you figure out what best fits your needs/preferences. Give us a call if you have any questions (919) 803-4605 and thanks for reaching out to us!
Hi Brandon, we are a licensed dealer. If you're under 21 years of age you cannot purchase from a licensed dealer. You can only purchase from an individual who would be willing to accept your pistol permit.
I would send it to Ruger , it would probably be free, in guessing but probably.
