I have always found that it does take a while for them to answer. If you ever went there, you would not believe how busy they are.
It's all volunteer based, so there may not be anyone available. As you say, Saturday is prime time for adoption, so there are surely lots of people in the building who also need assistance.
It is sad. I also have stood at the window waiting for service & the woman sat talking on her cell. Have mentioned it to another volunteer & they agreed--- customer service is not good. Where is their supervisor & training procedures????
Yes I have been there sat there for 45 minutes and witnessed three women sitting behind the counter talking laughing and passing a cell phone around. SMH
