Keep checking back, or maybe find a small dog place like buffalo pugs or diamonds in the ruff
My suggestion is to keep checking the SPCA website as it shows all available animals. And if you see one you want to meet, get there as early as you can! When word gets out there is a desirable dog there people are in line sometimes 1 hr before it opens. Get approved for adoption as soon as possible as it's 1 less step when you see one you want. Good luck and don't give up!
It's great that you go to the shelters but there are always rescues you can check with as well.
Although there are a lot of pit bulls/mix, when we were there other options were available. We live in an apartment as well. Donna's advise was great. Please don't give up, be persistent, take her suggestions and I hope you can find your match for your family.
Are u still looking for that puppy? I bought a puppy that is just what your in need of it’s a pit bull but he doesn’t know that really he is inbreed so he has issues I want a pit for it’s protection but this puppy can’t & I don’t see him ever being able he is just overly playful he doesn’t even bark for the mailman. He’d welcome a robber in , so he’s not what I need he’s a good dog just not what I need, but I believe he’s the perfect one for u, he was born March 2 , he is still little he won’t get much bigger , I say this in a loving way , he’s a reject of his breed
I want a dog
You can’t just go there and leave with a dog . With COVID you now have to call and make a appointment.
