Best bet is to not drive at all. Take Metra train to Ogilvie transportation center and then walk about 1.5 block across the river to the Opera House.

The best way to find the most affordable parking( for up to 12hours for $8-$10) is to use Parking Panda or Spot Hero app. You can always find some additional discount code on their prices, all over the Internet ( check Groupon and Living Social for the best offers). The Civic Opera House is offering their valet parking for $12 for the duration of the performances.

There is a spot hero a few blocks from it. Just open the app. We usually find it between 8 to 12dls for around 4-5hrs
