We arrived and tried to enter, but the call box at the first floor of the building wasn't answered by anyone, and the door was locked. Google and the NAVM website both indicated that the museum was open today, right now, but the door was locked and no one was answering. We even called the NAVM phone number listed on their website and no one answered. What a disappointment. I've wanted to visit this museum for many years and we finally had the opportunity, driving through Chicago, and we couldn't even get in the door.

Hi Binx, There is metered parking in front of the building on Milwaukee Ave., but often you can also find free parking on one of the side streets off of Milwaukee Ave. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We look forward to your visit!
