Answers above are correct permit or day pass Go to the office first before you try to find a site, the office has all access to available site during business hours.
You must have a park permit to enter any State Park... if you want to camp, you either go online and reserve a site, or purchase an available walkup site.
You do have to pay to get in camping sites you have to register
