It's right next to the beach, so that's a plus. Otherwise it's a parking lot with dirty toilets and supposedly drinking but strange smelling water. No showers. Quite expensive compared to national parks.

Morro Strand State Beach Campground is a great place to stay, right by the ocean!! As others have stated, it really is a parking lot that you can camp on, but you are so close to the ocean you can hear the waves crashing from your camp site. Spaces are very close together. We stayed in Site A which is right next to the bathroom. There was lots of extra foot traffic and sounds of toilets flushing. There is a fire pit and picnic bench at most sites. The bathrooms were mostly clean. I’d say this is a pretty great place to stay overall.

We had a great time there. So many birds to feed! And a squirrel to fed too! Our spot was very near the restrooms.

Stunning! One of the most beautiful beaches in the area, dogs cannot enter the beach itself

I have camped in a tent and also large rv and had a fire both times 😎
Agree with Melissa. It also depends on the shape of the tent. Is it square? Rectangular? I would contact them directly and ask about site dimensions.
Very hard to get in on weekends - week days better chance.
There was alot of small crab this past weekend but idk what they're called.
I've seen it done. As long as you are registered and paid up, you should be fine.
Some sites have it. Ocean front sites do not.
Very good cell reception. No campground wifi so bring your own hotspot.
Bawk bawk! There's always a chicken time!
U can fish free on the "t" piers just south in morro. Be careful of the otters and boats tho. Bring some tiny hooks and any kind of bait like shrimps, squid etc and you can catch tons of smelt in the kelp easily.
We stayed there a couple of weekends ago when they first reopened again
NO NOT AT THIS TIME IN MORRO BAY
No but your pass will allow you to dump at Morro state park.
If you need a full hookup site reserve online. Reservations are honored first.
No, but there is one maybe 10min driving from the campground which is big. Also there is a great donut shop next by - try it when you wait for your laundry ;)
No showers, but you are allowed access to the pay showers at Morro States Beach campground on the South end of town.
$35 dry camp and $50 full hookups 50amp service
Yes there are full hookup sites available
Just 1
You should find thr dog beach, north of morro. Locals love it.
I have seen quite a few people using tents. Use google maps street view to see what the park is like.
