We all need to get together and file a complaint with the fcc and petition humboldt county to create local high speed net as a utility.
Good luck. I've written to corporate headquarters, filed complaints with BBB... Nothing is going to change how horrible they are. They basically have a monopoly and can do what they want. They don't care about me, they don't care about you. They are so terrible, they know it, and they just don't care. Years later and no change. They really couldn't care any less. I feel bad for some of the employees but not that bad.
All of these comments are from a year ago! We hate Suddenlink, but because there's no access to fiber optic cables where we live in Mckinleyville, we have no other choice. We run a business that regularly has to download large files, and when we were using AT&T our speed was under 7 Mbps! Everyone here knows how terrible Suddenlink is. But despite all the complaints and ideas, as far as I know, nothing's been followed through and everything's exactly the "same as it ever was." Let's actually get together, write a proposal to create an internet utility and make sure that we're heard, and
Tony, thats why we have yo file fcc complaints about the monopoly and go to city council meetings and bug them about net as a utility. Other cities are successfully doing it and with all the bank that will get raked in by the weed industry we will be able to afford setting up a fiber network in the cities.
I have been filing complaints about excessive rates and appallingly dismal service for 15 years. The local people do what they can and I appreciate their attempts. However, nothing has been fixed by the people at the top and the issues continue: video drop, audio drop, tiling, mysterious barring. Hoped the takeover by Altice would bring change - it has only gotten worse, and we can't even contact our local office to find out WTF - just an endless loop of bots. And now we haven't even a Suddenlink app to access. I guess we're just not a large enough market for them to care and, as such, we're being robbed.
I agree!!! It is time WE TAKE BACK THE INTERNET AND MAKE THE INTERNET GREAT AGAIN!!! (MIGA)
What happened?
Rest assured Suddenlink will pay the price. Have you heard? Jeff Bezos is planning an entirely new system called STARNET, operated from one orbiting satellite (not to be confused with the StarLink system cluttering things up and run by Elon Musk). The rates are forcasted to be quite low, so if they succeed, goodbye AT&T, Suddenlink, Verizon, and all the rest. Their glory days are obsolete.
It's really disappointing that the answer to "how do I file a complaint" is more complaints from local customers (me included). An answer from a suddenlink representative would go really far. It might even make us think that suddenlink isn't just trying here to screw us over.
yes lets complain to fcc
