I loved my experience here getting my new best friends, this was about two years ago but my experience was fantastic, my only complaint was that the owner was so passionate about her cats and her work she could talk your ear off. We adopted a kitten and a cat both have become family, having the staff teach us the benefits of not to use hands to play has made my two babies wonderfully gentle and kind. Edit: I looked at the Google review images and saw a few of a black and white kitty with a beat up nose, that's our baby she's on the left enjoying her best life now relaxing with my old man on a heated pad.

Rude to seniors. Don't feel seniors should adopt pets.

I only volunteer on Sunday evenings...and last Sunday we accepted 4 gray/white tabby kittens ( about 6 weeks old) and their mom. So they will be out in the viewing rooms soon. Best to call the center Tuesday- Friday. Thanks for inquiring 😊
No, currently we don't have any small dogs. Thank you for checking us out.
Hi Ashley, We don't typically take in guinea pigs due to our limited space. I would reach out to either Humboldt County Animal Care/Control or Sequoia Humane Society. They are larger societies with a larger capacity for care.
This question is a little tricky. Its sometimes surprising which kitties we react to and which ones we don't. My oldest daughter is quite allergic to cats and she was not allergic to our only long haired cat in the house....Go figure! We do't typically get in hairless cats is that is more what you are looking for. I would welcome you to visit our Community Adoption Center and sit with a few kitties (if you would like to) and see what happens. Anyone there could put you in one of our lovely guest rooms and bring in a kitty or two. Just let us know your needs. Thank you
Hi Heather, I don't see a date on this so please know I have no idea when this was written. We often have female kittens. They are fixed prior to adoption as well as receiving other services such as vaccines, fecal, ringworm scam, flea meds, wormer and a HOme Again micro-chip with registration. Stop by our place at 3954 Jacobs Ave (on the Hwy 101) and see who we have.
