The Humane Society of Delaware County is a limited intake shelter. By controlling how quickly animals come in to the shelter, we are able to keep them until they find a home. We do not euthanized for time limits or lack of space.

They have all kinds of animal services, including finding a good home for them at a norminal fee (ranges from $50 for cat or $100 - $200 for dogs/puppies).

Euthanizing an animal does not necessarily mean that they haven't worked hard to find s/he a home. There are a multitude of reasons this may need to happen. That said, check out their website! They try to do outreach to the community and have events so the public can see what animals they are housing. I promise you, they are a hardworking group of folks!
