SPCA will most likely put dog down. I agree Jeff @ humane society. Also if dog is specific breed look for a rescue group that specializes in just that breed. Hope your son recovers quickly and you find place for dog

Some breeds and rescue animals are not child friendly. I feel terrible for your son and hope he isn't scarred for life from the experience. Please take the other's advice and speak with Jeff Dorson @ LA Humane Society.
